The Gym
We are extremely fortunate to have full use of the school gym. We aim to allow the children as much access to the outside area as possible, but in times of bad weather, the children can run and play, enjoy team games, burning off that excess energy.
The Classroom
The classroom is available at all times for board games, arts and crafts and a quiet corner for reading and homework
The Play Area
This is at the rear of The Children’s Centre, again outside but within the security of being in a fenced area. This is where the larger pieces of play equipment are held. This includes a climbing frame, a slide and a sliding pole. This area is available to the children as much as possible, weather permitting.
The School Fields
We are fortunate enough to have access to the school playing fields. All that space to have a game of football or rounders after school or during the holidays. The trees provide shade on the rare occasions that the weather gets too hot.
Part of this area also incorporates the ‘Wildlife Area’ a fascinating and educational place for the children. The children grow their own vegetables in the nearby vegetable patch.
During the school holidays the children often go to the nearby park (approximately 100 meters from The Club) using a gate for access – no roads have to be crossed – where there is lots of play equipment for our children’s age group.
