During the year we raise funds for a charity. The children decide which charities to support.
Often these charities have a connection to the children or their close relatives.

This year the children have decided to share their support between two charities -Humber Rescue and The Stanley Gene Foundation. The presentation was made to these 2 charities on 23rd January 2015.
The fund raising involved has included ‘Bun sales’, Coffee Mornings down at the local Methodist Church, sponsored walks , to name a few of the popular activities.
If at all possible the recipients of these charities speak to the children telling them who and how their efforts will help those in need or those less fortunate than themselves.
This creates enthusiasm and pride in their efforts and achievements.
Staff and parents are often involved in these activities. This year, Rob one of the Playworkers did a sponsored bike ride from Brough to Hornsea and back again. A brilliant achievement.
Our fantastic parents are always very supportive, whether by baking for the bun sales, donating raffle prizes or by manning stalls alongside the children!
